T‍he Journey

Forty years with children changed the questions I was asking. ‍

Where It Began

For decades, I worked with children whose behaviors seemed impossible to explain. I watched brilliant teachers, loving parents, and skilled therapists try every strategy they knew. Sometimes it helped. Often it didn't.

I kept asking a different question:

What if behavior wasn't the beginning of the story?

The Shift

I stopped looking at behavior first.

I started watching the body.

Everything changed.

What I Discovered

The body is constantly asking:

  • Am I safe?

  • Do I belong?

  • What happens next?

When those questions change...

behavior changes.

Why It Matters

When we understand behavior through the body, children stop looking "defiant," "lazy," or "unmotivated."

They begin to make sense.
