π Orientation
Before we understand, we orient.
The body is continuously locating itself in relation to people, place, time, movement, and what may happen next.
Orientation helps answer three ongoing questions:
Am I safe?
Do I belong?
What happens next?
When enough information is available, the body can settle and more cognitive access becomes possible.
When orientation remains uncertain, attention may be pulled toward scanning, prediction, and protection instead.
Bodies donβt settle until they orient.
