🧠 The Body Learner
Formerly introduced in Bodies Make Sense as the Old Guardian.
Before conscious thought begins, the body is already gathering information.
The Body Learner continuously reads sensation, environment, other people, predictability, and demand. It helps organize the body for safety, connection, and action.
Understanding the Body Learner changes how we interpret stress, behavior, relationships, and learning. Instead of asking only, “What is wrong with this behavior?” we begin asking, “What information is the body responding to?”
Behavior is the conclusion of the story.
When we understand the Body Learner, we can design conditions that support access, regulation, learning, and connection.
